Rolex 1680 Question about dials and hands.
Another Education lesson for me.

The pearl/dot (please forgive if I used the wrong term) is the same color as the hands as well. Real or not, it looks strange.
I am trying to find a picture on TRF of one that age... The font on the number 10 looks thin compared to the other numbers on the bezel.

Safe, I've seen them go several ways. Darker, lighter, or equal Patina. Also, how the pics are taken can effect how the patina looks. The following pics are the same watch.

Yes. Dial and hands can darken differently and at a different rate. They don't come from the same supplier.
Often you also see vintage Rolexes with replacement dials or hands and therefore the difference. BR Klaus |
