Looks like SSSS does not fully understand the implications of a DDOS attack, and also the steps involved in tracing the culprits and also trying to prevent further attacks?
What may seem to outsiders as a 5 minute job, can run to many hours, days or weeks in the I.T. world. Best to take as much time as necessary in order to have the site protected from these internet hijackers, than to have it back up and running with no additional measures taken. If one is not an I.T. professional or does not know a great deal about the I.T. world, then its best not to complain about the time the site was down. Just be thankful that it was recovered and we can all continue on TRF, due to the hard working individuals, who have got us back up and running again. |
