New Sub 16610 Purchase

Well, after purchasing a new SS GMTII C this past May and enjoying the watch tremendously, I still was not completely fulfilled. Although on the list with my Manhattan AD Wempe for an SS Sub C, I had always lusted after the outgoing Sub 16610. My salesgirl, the comely Sofie, called me this morning at work to tell me that a new Sub 16610 and Sub LV had just arrived. Well Happy Days! I purchased the Sub 16610 after careful consideration of the LV as well. By the way, the Sub has the random serial number. The LV, which is a V serial, is still available at Wempe, 700 5th Avenue for those interested.

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks very much guys. The purchase today actually saved me money, because now I will be able to concentrate on doing trades at work instead of spending so, so much time on the Forum.

Thanks,
Ken

Congrats, I just picked up an LV, they seem to be still trickling in. I have been in that Wempe's a few times and think it's a fine store.

Yea, it is a very nice AD. The salespeople there seem to have a higher level of knowledge and enthusiasm and less of a pushy attitude than their equivalents at Tourneau. And as of around 3:00 pm EST, they had a brand spanking new LV available.

Thanks,
Ken

I agree, and that LV won't sit long.

Nice as I was at Wempe & Tourneau by WTC a few weeks and the folks at Wempe were great! Enjoy the classic, Ken!

Oh man, this Sub feels great, absolutely perfect. When I purchased my GMTII C last month, I liked it a lot, but there was just something missing. Maybe it was the PCL's which I didn't love or maybe I am not a natural GMT guy. I have been warming to the GMT over the past month, but its an ongoing process, still doesn't feel like "my watch". Wearing the Sub 16610 now and it just feels right, no if's, and's or but's.

Thanks,
Ken
