hello

First of all i would like to say hello to everyone and i love this site.i never new there were this many people out there with the same sickness as mine.i just purchased a pre-owned ss date sub from an authorized dealer here in kansas city.the watch was new in sept. 2002.i have had in this order:ss sub no date plastic crystal, airking,ss datejust plastic crystal,ss datejust saphire crystal,ss sub saphire, gmt masterII saphire, seadweller saphire, and finally my sub that looks practically new.i am not wealthy,i am a blue collar worker with a passion for ROLEX.i buy all my watches at the same authorized dealer for peace of mind.oh,you can probably tell that my typing is awful.i look forward to viewing your posts and talking with all of you in the future.i will NEVER sell this sub,I LOVE IT!!!!!!I ALSO WANTED TO ASK WHAT THE BEST MOST STURDY NON METAL BAND WOULD BE TO SAVE THE ABUSE ON MY ORIGINAL BAND.

Welcome to TRF SF and you could try any of the various nato or leather bands on your sub.But myself would stick to the steel oyster, just occasionally wash in a bit of soap and water. And when service is due Rolex will refurbish your bracelet to when new.

Welcome to TRF, SF. Glad you found our happy little hideaway.

Nice watch you've got. Please post some pics when you get a chance.

As for the bracelet, don't worry about it. The oyster bracelet is one tough cookie. And as Padi said, when you send it in for service, Rolex will polish it up so you will never know it had been worn.
