Congrats on a great DJ - I love that dial!
BTW, why are some of the date numbers red and some black? |

It's called a roulette date wheel - it alternates red and black

Glad you're enjoying it so much, Brandon!! It looks absolutely beautiful!!
My wife catches me often gazing at the Rolex I'm wearing while stopped at a traffic light. She then has to yell at me to get a move on as the light has turned green, but I'm still gazing at my watch!!

I take it you have the silver dial? I was looking at that one first but I was concerned about readability in bright light - how do you find it?

Since I've got the TT model, the silver dial goes nicely with the 18K hands, hence readability it's not an issue and contrast level is good, but perhaps my eyes are still sharp enough (still below 30 yrs old)
The steel/slate dial in my daytona is a bit harder too see though, in my opinion... Would love to post pics, but I'm currently in bed with my wife and it is dangerous to take pics of the DJ, hope you understand what I meant by that, hahaha! |
