In your avatar it states SUB C soon. Go for it then, if you don't want it you can always flip it.

I think what he is getting at is that the DSSD is a serious piece of equipment. It's a very large watch, and you need to know if you are committed to wearing such a large time piece. If you aren't ready to wear such a large watch, I wouldn't reccomend buying it.
I personally (if I had the funds) would get a DSSD, but I'm a pretty big guy and currently wear a Breitling that is almost the same size as the DSSD, so I'm used to the size. |

Thats funny how people say this The two watches almost look identical, except for the thickness. Im a DSSD fan and owner, I would never ever say the SUB-C does nothing for me. A Rolex is a ROLEX! I love all of them and especially the SUB series. SUB and DWELLERS all look a like. Cheers

Definitely buy the SubC. Especially if it is your only watch. I consider the DSSD as a specialty piece more than a daily wearer.

Buy the SubC and enjoy it. The DeepSea is too massive, IMO, while the SubC is the perfect watch for almost every occasion

try both on and see what you like.
i could have bought both but chose the sub c. i also had a little incentive of buying the dssd, $1000.00 off. |

was chatting to my AD while wearing the DSSD for quite a long time and as much as i was loving it, the height and weight was an issue for me i have a 7.25" wrist, and i loved the case diameter. i reckon if my wrist was bigger, say close to 8", it would be an issue. so i bought the SS GMTIIC instead |

I have a 7.5 inch wrist and wear the dssd without a problem. Some people are used to larger watches and others aren't. Trying it on in the store doesn't really help because with a watch of this size it needs to be perfectly adjusted to your wrist. I don't have any experience with the sub c but I know I want one. Perhaps I shall be lucky on Saturday...

If you ever end up in a fight the weight of the DSSD just might save your life. Anybody comes after me I'm going Ric Flair backhanded slap, WOOOOOO!
I believe that is reason enough to wait for the DSSD. |
