GMT2c owners...

Hello everybody,

One of the nicest watches I have ever owned, I love my GMT.

However, if you could change one thing about your GMT2c what would it be, and why?

The 'only' thing I'd change is somethning I'd change on ALL Rolex watches - get rid of the cyclops!

I don't hate the cyclops and it doesn't, in all honesty, put me off Rolex watches. However, I don't think it is needed and seems a little bit of an oddity to me.

I have to nick-pick to answer your question because I think the GMTIIC is one of the nicest watches you can own IMHO.

I would like the ability to use a Pepsi and Coke Ceramic insert.

Who knows Rolex may yet figure this out.

I have yet to see a more 'complete' watch, it ticks all the boxes for me personally - I love mine.

I like the cyclops, it is a bit of an oddity admittedly, but an iconic part of the brand's heritage non?

I would love to be able to change the bezel insert, also a tool kit included in the package to change to NATO straps and suchlike would give a bit more of a focus on the 'tool' elements of the watch...

That would be so good.

The easy link is superb, but just not as superb as the glidelock!

I'd scale the numbers on the bezel down, they look way too large the Sub C looks fine.

Well said.

I'd also like a red GMT hand option and no COSC text.

I would also reduce the size of the font on the bezel, and I would also change the typeface used.... The one used is a little too "square" on the corners, I believe a more traditional font would suit better and look more timeless, the current one will date quickly....

IMO - it is perfect. The Easy link works well. An extra 5mm-ish room does wonders. It is not a divers watch and will probably no need to have more room to go over a diver suit (how often do you see pilots wear his/het GMT over the coat?)

As for cyclops - IMO Cyclops = Rolex... So what's there not to like

Maybe an option for the bracelet...with PCL or all brushed satin finish!
I'm thinking of brushing my bracelet to a all satin finish.

I'd like a smaller 12 o'clock marker to make room for a larger Rolex crown and maybe larger font for the"ROLEX ". Also, the green font on the bottom of the dial should be larger. But to accomplish that, they might need a 42 or 44 MM case. Overall though, I obviously like it because I bought it!

Changes

Glidelock - it's better than the fractional link, red 24-hour hand - I miss it, brushed bracelet - get's rid of the bling.

That's why I sold my GMT C. I like the PCL, it's those large, bold numbers around the bezel.
