THE TRUTH: how many of youlike / dislike the supercase on SS sub?

This is THE poll:

After months, it seems that some of us like, some of us dislike the supercase on the submariner 116610LN and 116610LV.

( I am not talking about the TT subs and the GMTC because the center link is different: either gold or polished )

But really how many of us ?

Please take a minute to answer.

So...I take it that we are still beating this dead horse?

Seriously, this topic is quickly becoming the new "can I get my Rolex wet?" or "is it ok to wear my Rolex to sleep?" In addition, the poll is flawed, because there is not an option for someone (like me) that likes and enjoys both styles equally.

I know that we have turned the problem over and over... So i understand your point of view. The aim of this poll is to get FIGURES, this has not been done yet. (the different answers are subjective so non usable, i try to get a representative percentage (30days poll) because this is the most controversed modification that rolex has done over over 57years of production of the iconic submariner)

I like it. It still has respect for the original & IMHO looks classic......ceramic bezel is fine........
best of all.....NO PCL's!!!!!!
When some of my body parts sell on Ebay, the new sub will be on my manly, macho 6.75" wrist.
Bah humbug, say it now.....don't you feel healed?

ambiguous.

If the SubC was cheaper pre-loved, I would have bought one already.

I thought I really wanted a 116613, after seeing both on my wrist, I could not justify spending more for the SubC Blue (or Sub C for that mater) over the classics.

I like it, but the old one still looks good

Besides, the improved bracelet tips the scales on favor of the supercase IMHO

Now that I have seen the 42mm case of the new Exp2, I wish that the SubC had been based on this 42mm case with the more tapered lugs. A SubC at a "mere" 40mm seems less macho now. I always kind of felt that keeping the SubC's diameter at 40mm and just fattening up the lugs was a cop-out. From my point of view, to create a true "larger watch" you must increase the dial/movement diameter like on the new Exp2. But last August I bought a SS SubC anyway. In it's own right, not comparing it to anything else, it is a fine watch.

I like everything about the new SS Sub except for the fat lugs.....they're disproportionate....and that's the truth.

I know it's a bit off topic but ther was an article in the UK Watches of Switzerland (AD) magazine about a soldier who was shot in the wrist/Rolex and the docs reckoned it saved his hand, even though the crown was buried in his hand for ever!(cool, huh?). The Rolex was creamed but they gave him a free replacement! Good drills!

I like the new model, but I prefer the old. It s not a "real" Rolex, not so much a tool watch about it.
I wonŽt buy the new, IŽd rather buy a 16610

As I have state on other posts. I would like a 16610 with blue lume, no maxi dial, no maxi case, with the new bracelet and AR on the cylops. No AR on the crystal - I love "glare" on the flat crystal.

I wonder if he said "Ahhh! my Rolex!" or "Ahhh! my wrist!"?
