Transport problems...

Hey guys,

So I travel a lot with work and when I'm away I like to take some of my watches with me....I tend to travel for weeks at a time you see.

Now, the problem I have is carrying my watches. It's not practical for me to cart my watch winder in my suitcase, but at the same time I don't really want to wear two watches on each wrist!

So - what do you guys do when you travel with your watches? Do you have little cases that can fit in a laptop bag, rucksack or suitcase? Do you just wrap them in towels or something else?

Chris, I usually travel with one, but if I had to have two, I always wear one and carry the other on in the carry on luggage or a backpack in a watch travel case.
The Rolex green service pouch comes in handy, but I usually use an Omega travel case as it is abit firmer than the Rolex pouch.
Many members uses Oakley travel pouch with great success.

I have a little watch case my AD gave me a couple of months ago. It's a bit bigger than what I would ideally want, but it was free and holds and protects 2 watches. So it works. There are a number of styles and types on the internet, and I am sure someone will post a pic or 2 here soon.

The pouches sometimes available in the sales forum or eBay, no idea if they are genuine or not...

The Oakley watch case is available online if you do a search. There are two sizes and I'm not too sure which size is suitable for which watch.

The red Omega one can also be purchased from Omega boutique stores.

Interestingly enough, in John Mayer's "Where The Light Is" DVD - there is a scene with him backstage choosing a watch to go out on stage with. As interesting as the collection is - the case was pretty cool too..

If I have to carry an extra watch, I have the valet wear it... he doesn't mind as he needs to keep track of the time too...

If I wanted a pouch I wouldn't worry where they are.......... I'll just send him out with orders to get an appropriate one.......

I use the Oakley 07-233 Small Watch Soft Vault Storage Case; you can get it from Amazon. I just toss it in my carry-on.

... no seriously... come on... why would you need to change so often ?... if you go on hols ok, nice to have acouple of them with you... but I go for a business trip, one is enough (any of them )...

Think outside the box, get a JLC Reverso for travel. Now you have one very nice watch that has two completely different looks depending upon which watch face you currently are showing (facing outwards)...

A GMT will be great.... I personal don't prefer travel with more then one watch since I can only wear one at a time.... just piece of mind IMHO.

It's probably not the watches it's the skinny ankles and tiny feet. It's a wonder you don't topple over when the wind blows, oh ya you have weights on your ankles. You know what they say about guys with tiny feet.... They have to buy small shoes.:cheers:

I personally use Oakley Watch Vaults (Small). They're small, give good protection and so easy to transport.
