Yes it would be considered a tool watch, especially the vintage fifty fathoms!

Thanks for the heads-up, I sent him a message! But in all honesty, I think the new release announced a couple of days ago is more true to the original.

I'm seriously considering that new Aqua Lung variant of the FF. I even asked for quotes from a couple of AD's today. Unmatched pedigree.

yeah, but why do the FF have to be so Gosh Darn Big? If you wanna talk pedigree, the FF's back in the day weren't comically huge?

Ruins the watch, IMHO

I'm afraid there isn't much at this point. Just announced, I don't think even AD's have any info on pricing, availability etc (and BP is infamous for being slow to bring announced models to market). I assume it will be the "standard" 45mm case and 15.5mm thick - plus the watch sits rather high. Certainly not a small piece.

Well, it was on my list and now back off.

I tried on the 45mm BP-FF. I'm fine with the diameter, but it sits incomforatable high on me. What is ironic to me is that they list this as their "Ultra-slim" models. I know it is just the movement, but sheesh, I think it is an oxymoron.

Then the 50th anniv version is for you as it is "only" 40.3mm and 14mm-something thick.

^^^^ nah, I'll just find another watch. I don't like paying a premium for a watch because it is a limited edition.

Awesome piece, but wonder why the antiquorum past auction prices are so low...is it that the smaller size just appeals to a more limited audience?

Personally the size suits me, but the depreciation is scary.

That`s my favorite FF by far, perfect size IMHO.
I`m only 13 grands away from it...

Love the 40mm version.

Don't care for the current pie-pan version.
