Easy way to install a deployant buckle on a new strap?

OK,

About to install my brown gator / white stitch on a deployant. The buckle came off the old strap pretty easily...but putting the new on is a bit tough. I don't want to scar up the tip of the new strap.

Any suggestions / pics / online tutorials anyone can link me to?

Never mind.

All set.

Just hope this little screw stays in place!

Brown strap will take some getting used to. I mostly do black!

No, I meant deployment. Never heard of deployant until today. You learn something every day here!

Yup, it is called a deployant. We all make that mistake in the beginning.

I can either wear an OEM deployant or short OEM tang strap. even the latter can be loose on me.

Cursed small 6.5" wrists!!

Looking good Bill. I personally prefer the deployant clasp myself.

unless it's panerai talking, in which case it's an "adjustable buckle", right?

edit: oh, and, btw, bill, combo looks good! gotta mix up the straps with different colors.

Yeah, you can call it that too, along with folding buckle, along with deployant. It just isnt' called a deployment!

I don't really understand the point of the deploy, seems almost as fidly as a standard buckle in as much as you have to manipulate the strat through the retainers - if you see what I mean.

Or am I missing something?

I think I've seen a different type of deploy that avoids this, but not on Pam's.

You dont have to re-insert the strap into the deployant each time if thats what you mean. It just folds over, clips in, then the tail of the strap fits through the strap retaining rings.

Yup. Set it and forget it...unless you need extra room, then go back a notch.

I prefer deployant for the JV strap. You touch it less with fingers so you dont get the strap as oily and it stays fresher looking longer ;-)
