Change 16610 Sub for 116610LN???

I honestly think the 16610 fits a hell of a lot better on the wrist then the new 116610's.

With that being said, I would still get the 116610 upgrade in a HEARTBEAT!

I'd do it in a heartbeat as well. I much prefer the ceramic model to the non. Try it on before you decide based on any pics.

I was debating through similar issues: 16610 vs. 116610. Then, I finally decided to get the 16600 and I have no regrets!

I've had the 16610 and without a shadow of a doubt prefer the 116610 however your sub is quite a special one in my opinion as it is one of the last to be made but to me the solid bracelet and new shape of the case are far better.

If you must have the newer watch for some reason or another . . . go for it, the sub C is a great watch. However, if your sub is in good, sound condition don't upgrade just to get the newer watch. The old style sub is a great watch as well and will serve you for many, many more years. I'm fortunate enough to own one of each but I'd never get rid of either as each has its own unique appeal.

The Sub Cs are gathering dust in AD's windows around here. Meanwhile, the price of s/h 16610s is increasing nicely. I know which I prefer ;-)

I tried for months to convince myself to stick w/ the 16610, but kept falling deeper and deeper in love w/ the 116610.

I do think the 16610 is a bit sexier and curvacious and has such an elegant transition to the bracelet.

That said, I love the look of the ceramic and how it plays the light. I love the maxi dial and it's vastly improved lume, I love the feel of the 116610 on the wrist.

I always wished the sub had a little more size and heft to it, but not as much as a Panerai for example. And, now it seems to fit the mold, and I love it!

Although you can't go wrong, your going to appreciate the new upgrades more than your going to miss the old ones!

I absolutely love the 116610LN, but there is no way I will part with my Z-serial Sub for one. Mailman has a new thread going in which he intends to try out a new one, and I posted there that I will add one some day if I can, but I'm not flippin' for a new model. Each has their unique strengths, and I am happy with where I am currently.

refined? isn't supposedly rolex a tool watch? i reckon the 116610 looks tres masculine.

The difference in quality between the 16610 & the Sub C is very apparent. To say it's a worthy upgrade is a vast understatement.

Quite right, and I wasn't suggesting that it's ever going to be collectable. But a year ago, second hand 16610s were around £3000 - £3500, and now they are £3750 - £4300. So prices are rising, for whatever reason.

Because prices are rising and the gap between a new and a used one is almost constant.

I love the new sub c, it just feels like a better quality watch(IMHO)

The relatively small upgrade cost was more than worth it!!!
