I found the hidden Ω symbol......
I got a great deal today from Pete17 (who by the way is a class guy) in buying his Speedmaster.
Anyway I thought the watch was worthy of a look through my Loupe to check out the dial up close. Low and behold I found this mark. At first I thought it was a hair on the hands.......then upon closer inspection I found................ What did I find????

Here's a quick pick to pacify the rabble.
Speedie10-11.jpg But you can't see what I'm talking about in the pic because it is very discretely hidden by Omega.

Actually right in the dead centre of the crystal there is a "Ω" embossed into the plexi crystal. It is right above the centrepoint where all the hands pivot.
It can be seen with the naked eye and the light from the right direction to highlight the "Ω" but otherwise you need a Loupe to see the symbol. Unfortunately the symbol is on the a wrong angle.

Great watch, well done the omega logo isn't straight either on my speedie, but being virtually invisible not a great problem.
wear it well |

I just zoomed on my iPad and I can see it!!! I wouldn't have spotted it if you hadn't told me it was there but I saw it!!!
On that pic it appears to the right of the minute hand with the left side of the symbol touching the hand and the top touching the bottom of the writing.

Thanks guys, this is one sweet watch. Only had it a few hours but it wears really well on my wrist.
The white hands contrast really well against the matt charcoal dial. I wish Rolex made more watches with hands in this style. The only one I can think of is the old 1655 EXII. I do like a date feature.....but you know on this watch its absence isn't a big deal at all. The wrist presence of the watch more than makes up for the absence of a date feature. This watch is great value. Very easy to set and although it lacks a hacking feature, a slight amount of back pressure on the crown enables the second hand to be stopped for precise synchronisation to the correct time to the second.

Congrats Steve! Great watch! My Speedmaster is one of only two watches in my collection that gets worn with any frequency, the other being my Submariner. Just so happens I've got it on today!
