Ink Cartridge Blew Up

My ink cartridge somehow blew up in my star walker. When I noticed it, the ink was still fluid, so I immediately closed the pen again thinking that keeping it fluid would make it easier to clean.

Is there a proper way to clean it, or can I take it to my MB store?

Thanks,

Pete

Pull the pen apart.

Fill up glass with water. Clean, clear, cold water.

Toss pen-components into water.

Agitate.

Remove.

Rinse.

Repeat.

Eventually, you'll wash out all the ink and you can then shake the parts dry, mop them dry with a tissue and then insert a new cartridge.

Thank you Shahan. In case the ink has dried along the walls of the pen, is this the same process? The pen has been sitting for a couple of days now, even though I sealed it back up.

Yes. Same process. You may need to use a tissue-paper to wipe the ink out though.
