Sea Dweller White Face, Gold Bezel??????
I just received a Sea Dweller with a white face that has diamond-like jewels on the hours and a gold bezel. I have never seen one like this. Is it a fake, or where can I find more information?
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I'm in Alaska where information sources are rare. Thanks! jiru |

Welcome to TRF.
You definately have either a FAKE or one that has fake aftermarket products added (which I really doubt). Seadwellers come in ony one configuration. Stainless Steel and black dial. Go to www.rolex.com and you will see a photo of a Seadweller in the only configuration it is sold as. In future, if you ever decide to buy a Rolex, I would first invest $40 and buy "The Rolex Report" book and read. |

The watch you've described doesn't exist. A picture would be interesting. I would like to see as to what extent some of these bastids would go in order to bastardize a beautiful Rolex!! I hope you enjoy your stay on TRF. Cheers - JJ

Think this may be a fake, as my boss had on a White Faced GMT that he bought in Thailand. Sorry.

Either that or he one of the original only 200 made for PanAm Execs and Ground crews GMT IIs. So he either has a fake or a $100,000 watch on his wrist!!! |

There's no white faced SD, hence it cannot be a franken watch. It could be a custom dial, but I cannot be for certain. Most likely a fake.
Got photos? Sea-Dweller looks like this and there's no other configuration...

Welcome to TRF!
Sorry, but either you got a fake OR a "Frankenwatch" (real Rolex with many alterations to its normal specs). Please show us a pic! Here is MY suggestions how to post pics: 1) Go to www.photobucket.com and create an account (it's FREE!) 2) Upload the pic to photobucket from your PC 3) When it's uploaded, copy the IMG code (BOTTOM bar under the photo in photobucket - there are four bars, but you'd wanna use the third and last bar). You copy the IMG code by simply clicking on the bar. 4) You then note that photobucket tells you "copied". 5) Then go to rolexforums and start your post. 6) In your post, press the "Add picture" button and a prompt pops up with http://. Delete that http:// and press CTRL + V (now that address of the photo - the "IMG tag" - is inserted in the prompt you got. 7) Then DELETE the last and first [IMG] to get rid of "IMG" standing before and after your photo when you post it. (not important, but just looks better). Or you can skip # 6 & 7 and just rightclick in your post and choose "paste"...........BINGO your photo will be there as soon as you press Submit reply. IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE THE PICTURE FROM PHOTOBUCKET (OR ANY SERVER YOU USE) SINCE DELETING IT THERE WOULD ALSO DELETE IT HERE ON TRF! (RED CROSS INSTEAD OF PIC). That's it!

Yes I too agree, I have never seen a real Sea-Dweller with a white dial, I have seen a few fakes on sleaze bay with that combination. Use extreme caution have an Authorized Rolex Dealer inspect the watch, they can tell you what you have. If you are no where near an AD you could send the watch to a Rolex Service Center located in Dallas, Beverly Hills, or New York. Be careful, if you send a fake Rolex to a RSC they may not return the watch as it is a copyright law violation.
