5513 worn by Charles Bronson in the Mechanic

I was watching the original Mechanic movie (1972) and saw that Bronson was wearing a meters first 5513. Any Ideas on what year this one is?

That looks like it's got a fair patina on the hands/dial...

If the movie was made in '72 would that mean the watch had been around a while already?

It's not in very good shape.... the pearl doesn't even line up with 12 o'clock!

It was '72, but it's more likely the color tint is due to the color grading of the film and the white reflects back the warmer lighting used in the highlights. I believe that scene is shot at dawn and they probably pushed the shadows cooler toward teal/blue and the upper midtones/highlights a warmer orange.

I watched it couple months ago (prior to watching remake with Jason Statham) and noticed this - 5513 rocks, but Bronson rocks harder!

Or the watch is 5 years old and had water damage that cause some discoloration.

Or...they were faking dials back then...no one knew about it though.

OR...Charles Bronson is actually a time-travelling ninja/actor and he traveled back in time from 1998 to film that...so the watch was actually 30+ years old.
