My PAM88
I got it a few years ago (2008 to be exact) and I am not sure if it was due to the hype or what, but I got it sight unseen (never even wore one to see how it sat on my wrist!) and somehow never really warmed up to it.
Took it out of the safe for one last good look at it as it will soon be traded for a Rolex Submariner. It is a pretty watch, but for some reason, it never pulled my strings |

If it has to go, it has to go. Personally, I'm a big 88 fan.

Nothing wrong with it, just that I figure I would get more use out of the Sub. I did enjoy being able to swap straps relatively easily. It was very tough to sell it, unless I was prepared to literally give it away.

I think most Paneristi want something with more DNA and they tend to lead newbies in the same direciton so the 88 isn't as popular as say a 111.

I actually got more than a few compliments on my 88 (by non Paneristi), but agreed, most Panerai buyers tend to gravitate towards the simpler dials and "retro" looks. To each his own!

That is a shame, the 88 is a great Pam I say strap her on and give her a whirl again

Hi fellas, my PAM is scheduled to leave late next week (assuming that either the cash or Subamriner arrive...). It was for sale for over a year and finally traded/sold it for 30% less than what I got it for used 3 years ago. Will take some additional pics of it with some cool extras Panerai branded stuff...
