A good complete b&p minty 5513 or 5512 would fit your budget.

I would say Fat Lady but you already own a GMT.
Go sub 5513 or if you can find a 5512 for the price. Then again, how cool would it be to own a collection of GMTs different vintages. Choices, vertical collection or horizontal

Great, patina-heavy 1680.
Or a nice, radial dial 1675 with lots of patina. Or, if you are SUPER lucky and looking for someone REALLY wanting to sell, you may be able to get a service dial 5508 with great patina for all the money you mentioned (plus some shipping most likely ) V/R Mike

Easiest way to avoid a frankenwatch 5513 is to buy from one of the top, top trusted sellers on the forum or online - PM anyone here and they can point you in the right direction. You spend a little extra, but you get 100% piece of mind.

My guess would be a "watch only" 1680 or a B&P 5513.

But there is another Eric. Eric Ku, who is a vintage dealer extraordinaire. You should also check with Jacek from HQ Milton. |

X2 I bought this 5513 from Andrew Shear - to eliminate any worry about buying a correct and original Rolex - Andrew is 1 of the most respected vintage Rolex sellers on any continent and he is in your back yard. Tell him your budget, what you want, take your time and enjoy the process. You should be able to buy a really nice 5513 in the $5500 - $6500 range from a trusted pro seller - or you can spend far less and always worry about buying a put together watch - one that will be difficult to resell. |

I would definitely buy the 'king' of all watches...a vintage Day-Date! Not only are you buying a great watch, your also getting the added value of having a few ounces of .750 gold. Perfect investment and a great watch too!
