Yes, Downing.... Lake Hartwell. We retired here several years ago and even though we are in the worst drought in the history of the State of Georgia, it is still a beautiful place to live. The lake is now down almost 12 feet and still falling. Lake Lanier which is about an hour south, is in worse shape than Lake Hartwell and Atlanta depends on Lake Lanier for drinking water.

Here is a shot of our boat house sitting on the ground. It should be in 11 feet of water at the back end. Needless to say, our pontoon boat has been in dry storage for a couple of months now. We need rain and lots of it! Cheers, Bill P.
