Glacier dial and blue Roman numerals really is a stunning piece.

I honestly never see myself owning one no matter how my life pans out. I can't even tell you why I would never buy it.

Either way if I saw one in public I would definitely swoon and if you own one you are a very lucky person.

In my opinion the DDII looks big on your wrist on these pictures (but I know pictures can be deceiving). The 36mm on the other hand looks perfect!

Edit: Took another look at your pics and I think that the proportions of the DDII is what's throwing me off rather than size in your wrist. I still think the 36mm suits you better.

Did your AD have the Platty DD2 with the black dial and arabic numbers? I think that is the best combo!

I love the DD2 because of the smooth bezel. I do not like the fluted bezel.

For those of you who have seen both the ice blue dials with concentric and blue romans vs the nonconcentric dial with blue romans, how much larger are the blue romans on the nonconcentric dial? I know they are larger but how much larger?

I tried to love the DDII Plat but the proportions didn't quite look right, just looked a little odd, but the 36mm regular DD was perfect so I got that instead, glacier blue with diamond markers, subtle and beautiful!

(the blue wave in your pics doesn't appeal to me, it makes it look less classy especially for Rolex's flagship model, and the one with the circles also looks unappealing to me. For the classic DD look, it has to be roman or diamond markers to do it for me! :-)
