Really, REALLY fast!

I posted this way back when, but it's worth a revisit.

Finnish rally driver Ari Vatanen set a record time in a ferocious four-wheel drive, all-wheel steering Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR at the 1988 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado, USA. This record setting run up Pike's Peak was made before the installation of the outer erosion retaining walls, and reminds me of something I heard Michael Schumacher say one time.

"When you are driving really, really fast, what is about to happen is already decided. You are just along for the ride."

Go full screen and turn up the volume.

Looking at those cliffs whizzing by got my my blood pressure up while I'm sitting at home in my comfy chair. I think I would have a heart attack sitting the passenger seat with those guys.
