Classic Color Meter. Apple replaced it with Digital Color Meter, but the classic one is avail in the app store and is far more useful with hex codes. I use it all the time for work.
Xcode. Best development environment around. Cannot and will not live without this one.

I got stuck with Neo office, as there wasn't any Open office for macs when I started.
And it has a cooler icon.

Power 64
It turns my mac into a C64. Seriously, I use it all the time. I even have an adapter to plug my old Atari joystick into a usb port. I guess I just can't get out of the 80s, lol. |

Spotify
Plex (I thought iTunes was a good music manager but it's not a patch on Plex) 1 Password Pro Google music manager. Dropbox. Chrome Adobe Lightroom 4 Sonos Kindle Yahoo mail. G Mail WD MyBook Live. All except for LR are cross platform so work and sync on my MBP, iPad mini Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nexus 4 perfectly.

FSX is a game for kids, X-Plane has actually a license of it to be used in actual flight simulators.
IMHO. I have hundreds of hours in Flight Simulator (Microsoft) FS95 was my first. X-plane don't have the intricate ready done missions, but the realism, and the amount of "brain-power" you need to use yourself is awesome! It's available for Windows too. If you get it, make sure to get XP-10. And BUY your planes, as the ones supplied are rubbish. Well the cessna 172 is OK, but that's about it. I'd recommend the Boeing 777-200er (officially licensed), ATR-72. My next one will likely be a CRJ-200. You pay about 50 bucks for each plane, but they are worth it.

Well, definitely an option. I used to do it too.
I just love the speed you get running something OS-X native. Beats Windows.
