Hi, I am a new member. I have 4 rolex watches and have loved the durability and good looks . My daughter is a Gemologist and was hired by Cartier in NYC, but even at a huge discount I can't find a Cartier watch that I like as much as Rolex! I sure can't understand paying a lot for a quartz watch. Am I off base here?

I am right with you.
Cartier watches are available with automatic movements and the customer service is legendary. I can't find a model that I like though.

Welcome to TRF!
Both Cartier and Rolex have a great historical background, but that is also where the similary stops. Nothing really beats Rolex, IMHO.
