Problem with Date Change on AP ROO

Hey guys,

Was hoping someone could tell me a little bit about this. I have an AP ROO Panda, bought it new in October 2012 and have barely used it.

I have today found a problem. Previously the date change was smooth when done via the crown. However, since today just as the date changes it stiffens up and makes a small *click* sound as the date changes.

IS there something I should be concerned with? Should I get it checked out?

Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry I have no remedy or advice.

Is it my sensitivity, or are there ALOT of issues with the setting (crown and stem) areas with AP? Is this just with in-house stuff, or are the JLC and F. Piguet ebauche a suffering the same fate in AP's clumsy hands?

Sorry, clumsy sounds harsh coming from a big fan of the AP house...

I think he is referring to the offshore that has the in house movement with the piggy back chrono.

I wouldn't fool around with it. I'd take to your nearest service center post haste. All the best. I am sure it will be taken care off.

Get it checked out, as I had a very similar problem with my BB, the rapid date change mechanism had that same click, plus felt notchy, and didn't quite line up in the date wind (sat slightly high) plus the date started to change at 1.15am not at midnight! AP London said it just needed adjustment, and now its perfect again.. if its still within warranty, get it done...you won't rest unless you do!
