Urgent help needed.
Do you know anything about electronics?
I am sending this with hopes someone will have the know-how to make this thing work! If anyone of you electronic wizards knows how to connect a surround sound Blu-Ray and DVD, please let me know. My neighbour keeps asking me for help and myself now spending a lot of time there, and the wife is complaining about it all the time I'm really struggling here! Here's a photo of what her set-up looks like... If you are thinking “Nice Carpet”.......... I think it might be Shag Pile

From here looks like it may be as simple as removing the thin layer of wrapping covering the opening and inserting the plug.

From what I observed, it sounds like the coaxial male adaptor needs to be screwed into the VCR female adaptor tightly to prevent a loose connection, using both hands for torque and a firm grip.
gipq.jpg Call me if you need a repairman I'd be over in a minute to couple the problematic connections. BTW: Sometimes the cable is bent and needs to be straight before being screwed into the female adaptor in back of the VCR, sometimes the female adaptor has debris inside and needs to be blown out to rid the debris before you screw the two couples together. Make sure the VCR is unplugged, as it is a shock hazard, and could cause heart attacks for older persons who attempt this risky maneuver. |

Sometimes when you run into cabling issues like this, it's best just to take the cable and try it in as many different plug in configurations as possible until you get the desired result.
