I personally hate it. Detracts from the watch. I would never buy one.i would prefer a sharp stick in the eye.
Would you buy a car with the dealer name prominently displayed next to the badge on the front? |

If it's a real one with proper paperwork, sure.

It's really up to the owner's tastes but I personally love the co-branding, it's not like it's written very big and to me that small detail is very nice.

Can't say I like it but if I think it will worth extra (compare to ones with no co-branding) years down the line, then why not?

I do like it, but I wouldn't pay thousands extra for it.....

exactly.
Not to mention that over time the T&Co pieces (with the exception of the Twenty-4) see some serious appreciation. At any given moment it is worth approximately 10%-12% higher than the regular version. Besides, even with the small T&Co stamp any Patek has less writing than your average Rolex on a dial, so I don't see what the problem is.

Not sure a COMEX looks better than a non-COMEX IMO.
And Comex is not truly a case of co-branding. These are pieces made specifically for Comex employees. Finally, call me macho if you want, but i would much rather be "associated" to a company which has been a pionner in commercial diving (which is relevant for a diver watch), than to a company which is selling rings and necklaces to my wife. |

The vintage co-branded ones grab some ridiculous amounts on the auction block.

Tiffany is nice but I'd rather have a Patek co-branded with my own local independent ad.

I like them, both Iconic brands, adds some additional history and enhances both in the process.

I didn't care for the cheesy sales pitch at the Patek Salon at Tiffany NYC.
They claimed it was a given that it added value to the watch, hence their firm pricing...clearly we here can appreciate that many of us would not like it. Maybe if it said Santa Claus?

I agree that the branding itself doesn't add value to a new watch, hence justification for sticker pricing.
But I have to add that if you read on the history between Patek and Tiffany, and how they collaborated on launching Patek in the US, it does add some value to having their stamp on the dial....just my 2cents |

Ultimately for me, the biggest consideration would be the aesthetic of the dial and how its balance was affected by the additional text.

I like it.
Makes an already special piece even more so.

this is a LE piece made for Tiffany. it is indeed a beauty and of course i would expect this to appreciate ahead of the pack

Now tell me, do all Patek's that are sold at Tiffany's have that stamp on them or is it just on certain references? This one I like, it looks very classy!

I saw the 5712 / 1A with the Tiffany branding. . . was torn, the dial looked cluttered as it is an already busy dial, but it is rarer bird with the branding. I'm not sure if that translates to a higher resale value?!?

Depends on the watch, if it has a busy dial I wouldn't want it but I don't see the problem on a Calatrava for instance.

I have seen a 5119J with the stamp and I thought it was amazing. In fact, I'm an idiot I should have bought it. What was I thinking?

I don't care either way. And, I think if you buy an unbranded one from TIF, but want it stamped, they have to send it back to Geneva. That's a 6 week delay. Not worth it in my opinion.

I was told by Tiffany in San Francisco that not every watch has the Tiffany mark, it depends on whether or not there is room on the dial.
