What Movement!?
I am no expert and only have had the pleasure of one PP in my life.. I parted with it a number of years back as I could no longer read the dial ;( but I do enjoy looking and reading about them still..
Actually, just last week wrote a seller with bidders regarding a eB listing/auction for an alleged PP made in Japan.. .Well, after several exchanges.. sharing what little I do know, as well as, IP technicalities.. along with offering to post it here, etc. The seller said she would take it to her jeweler and if he corroborated what I'd shared she would indeed remove the auction. I was happy to see she indeed obviously followed through as she in fact ended the auction. Meanwhile.. I subsequently came across a rather extraordinary movement and would appreciate any help.. . I tried but received no response.. . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Patek-Philli...item3cddd4350a BTW.. Thank you all for a truly enjoyable, interesting and fabulously awe inspiring forum. |

The only thing faker than your japanese PP is this thing. Looks like a fake and a very bad one at that. Yes PP manufactures quartz but I do not recall them putting it on the dial. Other than that the watch looks really shoddy and uncharacteristic of PP.
I am amateur at best, surely someone with more knowledge will verify. |

I do think Patek wrote quartz on some of their dials, however, this one remains a fake. Three jewels movements that aremunadjusted are far from what PP will do as far as quartz movements go and the watch itseld looks pretty bad (they don't and never made gold plated cases or watches with a caseback that was in a different color material).
I'd say forget about this one.
