Just saw a production of CATS in San Diego

Saw CATS here in San Diego, CA tonight. We have very good seats but I would have to give the production a 6 out of 10 and the cast an 8 out of 10.

The production company gives you a 0 out of 10 for taking pictures during the show.

Humm... If you have ever been to a musical you would know there are traditionally 2 acts. In between the acts the audience is encourage to get a beverage, go the restroom and some even take pictures with the set in the background. In this case several posed like a cat. This picture was taken just prior to the 2nd act starting as the actors were getting on the set.

Therefore, you get a 0 out of 10 for not knowing what you are commenting on.

Did I ever tell you I think it's rude and impolite to take pictures in a theater at any time during a production.

I had a Vodka & Cranberry, #1 and I took a Rolex pointing picture to share with TFR. Sorry, no pic with drink or in the restroom...

I usually use the intermission to duck out altogether. Just can't get into musical theater. Even if the show is good I find myself looking at the playbill to find the number they are doing so I can see how many more songs I have to endure before the thing is over.

Not that there's anything wrong with it. Just not my thing.

I was a sound tech for a professional theatrical production way back in the early Eighties and I've seen musicians leave the stage while they weren't playing and confiscate cameras.

Because I don't go to musicals.

We go to a lot of stage shows and whilst I think photography during the show should be a hanging offence, I cannot see any problem with a photo during interval.
I have been at concerts with idiots in front recording bits of it on their mobiles. I have had to be restrained from swatting them. They should be thrown out instantly.
