Rare Rolex Box?

Hello fellow Rolex enthusiasts!

I have a really neat Rolex box I have had since I was a kid. I don't know anything about it and haven't been able to find one like it on any other forum or info page. Does anyone have any insight?

Edit: New to the forum and just saw the post about valuation taboos! Apologies!

I've seen a lot of boxes, but never this one.

Any writing on it anywhere?

Looks authentic. Omega-esque soft leather. It's quite broad looking, maybe not a watchbox but some other eccentric Rolex item? Spoon or pen set maybe? Accurate insight is sure to come along soon enough! I wouldn't mind having it in my boxery anyway.

Nothing!

There is a piece of green silk on the bottom, nothing inside

Haha, I was confused for a second. :P

The box is 5" x 3.75" x 2" which is pretty much the same size as my watch box I got in 2006 (a Datejust with the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 blue arabic dial came in it :)

A lead on a cold case/box

I found this!
I did an image search to find it- the pictures are still searchable with the main title: "Tropical" Gold Ornate Box (for radioactive watches?); via Google images, even though the seller took down the pictures on the ad.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/20767...tive+watches-)

Does anyone know anything about the 'Tropical' Radio Active boxes? Should I store it in a lead box?

Thanks for any info!

I have a Rolex spoon that came in a Rolex box that I picked up because I bought my DJ without one. I have seen the anchor before but how did the spoon come about? Sorry if this is off topic.

I have exact the same box since I was a kid too. I think it was from my grandma. I left it in my drawer for at least 30 years
