Rolex Servicing Video
Found this while looking for details of Rolex's design on waterproofing. Not really related to my question but pretty interesting none the less.

Where did the link go? I'd love to see what they do to the movement during a service.

The plastic sheeting is new to me; my watchmaker wears latex gloves when he handles things...

He goes much faster on reassembly. Guess he knew what went where
Watchmaking must be like brain surgery in a way. The last thing you want to hear during any work is "oops". Thanks for linking it here

Thanks for sharing that Lee. This is the kind of thing I like to see on this forum.
This video demonstrates why these beautiful pieces of engineering are worth the premium they command. |

Great post! Check out this from Patek. My favorite part is at 0.25- I am a big fan of the jubilee bracelet...

They caught my eye as well; I still was just amazed by the complication of the watch assembly. FWIW, I'm really impressed which means a lot considering I make semiconductors for a living (it's a damned complicated process).

That is amazing stuff. The dexterity and mechanical knowledge of watch technicians is absolutely incredible.
