Ym 2 bezel stuck!!!
I just got my SS YMII on Friday. I absolutely love it. I was sitting here about 10 minutes ago playing with it and I set the timer, and set it down for a bit. I just went to pick it back up and the bezel is completely stuck! I always rotate it very slowly, and carefully. I've never felt any stiffness in it, or issue at all. It will not turn. I am very very upset. I need help please! What should I do?

Did you swim in the see or in salty water?

What can you do really other than take it to the AD? You could pop it off I suppose with a plastic instrument but then you would have to put it back on. Good luck and sorry about that.

You can't just "pop" the ceramic bezels on and off. They need to be pressed back on and there's a Delrin ring in there that has to be replaced every time also

Sounds like a pusher problem, most likely because it is new. Try manipulating the pushers in and out to unstick the bezel

Try to rotate it back with a gentle force. It may just be stiff. Not too hard of course.

Did you screw the crown back in? (if I remember correctly, you need to screw it in before returning the bezel to the original position).

Nope ... The YM II has a nifty timer complication. You need to push the lower chrono button and turn the bezel. After this, when you unscrew the crown and turn it ... crown movement is used to set the timer hand instead of the hour / minute hands. Then you screw the crown back in and turn the bezel to the normal position. If you unscrew the crown and set without turning the bezel, you adjust the hour / minute hands instead. It is a complex complication.
It is shown here (at 1:30): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHsiRZMxBlE In fact he is screwing the crown after turning the bezel so it does not seem to be the case (on second thought, you need to pull the crown and adjust and then push back in before screwing it ... so you should probably not turn the bezel with the pulled crown). I don't remember ... It's been a while since I owned this piece. In any case, the exact sequence (as described in the manual) should be followed. Seems like a trip to RSC might be required.

It's fixed! I was getting ready to ship it back to my guy, and I went to try to turn it one more time. It turned! I'm very happy. Not sure what happened, but I don't care. Thanks for the help guys!

Is use a Phillips screw driver and a hammer and hit it twice on the bezel.

This happens to some of my dive watches occasionally when I forget to rinse after.
