If that Daytona were mine there is no way I'd ever let it go.

Pics of the watches you wanna flip, but not of the watch in question? Either way, prob not. I love the 6263, and I don't even care for daytonas... That being said, you have a really nice watch for everyday of the week. It would have to be a really rare 6263, then I wouldn't even feel all that comfortable wearing it day in day out. What am I saying? If you can't get the 6263 out of your dreams, flip away!

Seems a bit drastic, and getting top dollar for the 5 Rolex and 1 Tudor might take a while, by which time you may have changed your mind.

That's a sweet collection. Blue and black choices for a diver or chrono. Gold, TT, and stainless choices. Arabic, Roman, Baton markers, square plots and regular plots to choose from. White, silver, or champagne dial choices for a dressy watch. Modern, recent, and vintage models to choose from...

You seem to have a lot of well-thought out variety, and you'd be giving that up for a gorgeous watch that isn't an all-purpose wearer. Unless you're really tired of your collection, I'd vote no.

Are you a one-watch guy? Can you pick a piece in your collection and wear it for 2 weeks? If yes, then go for it.

You're going to get many answers from different people.

Are you going to sell each piece yourself?

I wouldn't. I don't think you'll want to daily a 6263; getting rid of that collection that you've had for so long yearns for "seller's" remorse.

Only if it was complete and I do mean complete. Original box, papers, booklets, service papers & hang tag. The watch must be all original too. Otherwise , you have an awesome collection.

To explain why I answered yes: The 6263 is more collectible over time IMO in comparison to the pieces you would flip.

I had a similar opportunity a few years ago.

I passed.

I still think I made the wrong decision.

I think the real question to ask is, a few watches I really like or 1 watch I love ?

My answer will be yes, everything in your collection can be re bought with little effort but if the 6263 you are looking at is a nice example, don't pass on it.

Do it. As the ones in your collection can easily be replaced.

Fantastic read!!! Thank you for posting it, and it is right on the money about how I feel about watches. I enjoy collecting, but really envy the guys that have 1 watch for all the adventures of live acquiring battle scars to match their own!!

Assuming you have tried a 6263 Daytona on before, and have seen it in person, etc. I say yes. Your collection could easily be replaced, if for some reason the 6263 didn't meet your expectations. I know I love my 6263's.

It seems that it is what YOU really want and that you're just waiting for some other guy to chime in and push you to the inevitable.

So, do it!

I'd sell everything but that gold Datyona. Your call, of course.
