Time to refurbish my bracelet?
This has been my daily watch for 13 years...I'm getting ready for a dive trip and am wondering if I should refurb the bracelet before the trip. I've heard stories of pins coming out at the worst time and watches being lost forever.2014-07-23 16.05.37.jpg

I have seen worse, that said it wouldn't hurt to get it fixed up.

All I would do is have it pressure tested and check all the screws.

Checking (and maybe replacing) spring bars is much easier than doing a bracelet refurbish and could prevent a possible tragedy...

Bracelet looks a little loose, but I think it's fine. I'd also vote for a pressure test if you haven't done one in the last few years. Have fun on the trip!

A pressure check and a good NATO strap would give me some piece of mind. That way you don't have to mess with the bracelet until service time.

Lot's of life still in that bracelet..
Spring-bars should be replaced every couple of years as they are hollow and more likely to wear through than the solid link connector pins.

I would actually do it after the trip. The bracelet looks like it's in great condition for the dive

You can snug up the screws yourself, as well as change out the spring bars. Pressure test, some jewelers can...
Go for it. |

Thanks, I'll grab some new spring bars ASAP. Is there a reason to replace the screws (crowncollection)? Or just check them? I'll check on a pressure test too.

No reason to replace them; just be sure they are secured with a thread locker (like Loctite) and you should be good to go...
