Will the Sub C 97200 bracelet fit on a 16030 DJ?

Looking to replace the worn jubilee bracelet with the modern Sub C oyster bracelet with the glidelock clasp. Please post if you know this combo will work. Thank you.

Not sure if it is value-wise to put a bracelet that costs more than the watch is worth on..

The Sub is a 40mmm case and the DJ is a 36mm case and so there is a mismatch at the case contour. This is minimal and you would have to look closely to see the gap at each end. You would also need to experiment with the proper sping-bars to put it all together..

Thanks for the reply Larry. The watch is sentimental to me as it belonged to my late father and monetary value is an irrelevant factor to me. I didn't think of the difference in regards to case diameter.

What would be the proper Oyster bracelet and endlinks for the 16030?

First let me say that an SEL bracelet like the 97200 won't fit because the early DJ's do not have the machined ledge on the backside to locate an SEL.. Sorry I missed that on the first go round..

As to an Oyster to fit yours, it depends on the year if you want to be period correct.. I don't think that you would want that though if it's a very early one that may have come with a folded and riveted bracelet.. A number of Oyster bracelets will likely fit..

Look for a 78360 with 558 endlinks..
