Icon5 Question for 'movement' experts and multi-Rolex owners...

First of all...I am a WIS!!!! (Or as she told me this morning, I am crazy!). I pulled out this baby this morning and set up the time, and found that winding and time setting feels 'tighter' than, say, my 16233 DJ. My DD was recently serviced @ RSC (under a year) so everything should be ok on that side. Do you find that different watches 'feel' different while winding/setting?

(I have to add pics to a) Keep this in the Rolex Forum and b) because I love this watch!!!)

My WG Sub is significantly "stiffer" than my DD, GMT, Datejust, etc when winding. It was at RSC within the last 2 months. My suspicion is that you get a stem on the + side of tolerance and a gasket/seal on the - side of tolerance, and end up with a very tight seal.

It's not something that concerns me unless it doesn't feel "smooth" whether tighter or looser, or there's some other misbehavior.

it varies for me between different models, which I guess by size and complication makes sense

My DJ (116233) has a very smooth winding and setting feel. My former EXPII (216570) had a slightly stiffer feel. My current GMTII-C has a smooth feel when I wind it or move the hour hand however, releasing/tightening the crown from/to the case and pulling it out to the various positions all feel more than a little stiff. I don't suspect any problems and just chalk it up to being new and/or due to being a Triplock??

Maybe. The smoothest I find is on my Daytonas, next DJ and last DD

My Daytona feels different than my Sub, each movement is different so should be ok.
