Patek 5146G
Hello guys,
Have a few questions about the 5146G What other Patek models are there that compare to the 5146 (New or Old styles) only interested in the 38mm. Does the 5146G hold its value if i decide to sell in the future if i purchased it at a fair market price. Not worried about making money or appreciation. Just |

The older 5035 is very similar in terms of style, I believe it's just a tad smaller than the 5146.

I was told that the resale on the 5146 is poor. Not in heavy demand due to heavy supply out there.

Ones to look at are 5036 and 5056. 5056 only in platinum and on strap. 5036 same watch in gold and on bracelet. 37mm vs 39mm and use 315 based movement so a slower beat than 5146 although early 5146 use same movement.. Cheers. Andy

I recommend 5250, 5350 or 5450. They are rare and prices have come down a bit.

Was offered a 3 month old 5146J for $32k...passed as not the AC model I wanted. I think they are not too hard to find new or pre-owned. Last few ADs I visited had them.

One on WatchRecon.com took a while but appears to have finally sold. It was last marked $29K but I don't know if the seller caved and sold it to a dealer for less? Anyway, if you could get $31K for it you're probably doing better than most on the market. And there do seem to be quite a few available but mostly higher than $31K. |

Strange, when I bought mine nearly 2 years ago I had to call every AD in Switzerland and could only find 2 for sale. Seems things have changed

I was once in the market for a 5146 but found the 3, 6, 9 a distraction
I'd probably look at a 5035, 36.5mm sounds really small but the lack of moonphase thus cleaner dial make the legibility superb Also the very first AC if you like that kind of trivia
