Need advice: friend is looking for a watch below 1300$
Hey guys, my friend is currently in the market for a watch. He's looking to spend around 1300$ or less. Any suggestions? Please provide pictures if you can. Thanks.

Prepare for quite a diverse list of recommendations! Plenty in the budget, but we know nothing about the wearer? Go to watch recon.com and search for watches in the $600-$1,300 range to see what's out there. My choice (shown on my wrist) is this Hamilton H71516137, a 7750-based chronograph $800-$900: I just did an incoming thread: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=382992 |

I am a big fan of Damasko watches.
German, either ETA or in house movement. What I like is that their cases are made in house from a patented steel that is almost scratch proof. Their metal is used (was) on the Space Shuttle and still used by Eurocopter and Airbus. Anna is absolutely brutal to watches (and most other things lol) and every watch she ever had got dinged up within 48 hours. Not hairline scratches, dings. She has been wearing the black on black Damasko since June and there isn't a single scratch on it. Still looks new. That was all the proof I needed to believe their claims lol. My wife and I have a few and absolutely love them. Take a look at the brand and if you are interested I can put you in touch with one of the very few US distributors. He would take good care of you.

Great German brand that you can buy for around €1000. They will ship to the States too.
