New to Omega, Which one?

I'm considering purchasing my first Omega and would love some feedback. I'm thinking of choosing between the Speedy and Seamaster Pro. First, neither is better suited for the life I actually live, only the life I would like to live - so either deep sea diving or space travel seems ok. I love the SMP and have even been looking at one with a black leather band. However, I also love the heritage of the Speedmaster and would love a manual wind "tool watch." Any thoughts for an Omega newbie?

How about not following the sheep and getting something different and equally historic,a DeVille!! They are beautiful and you do not see them around as much, if it has to be speedy seamaster then IMHO I have not seen a seamaster of late that does not look cheap! I was looking at some today at my AD and I just could not get enthusiastic, the deville line however really looked classy!
Ooh, I forgot, how about the aqua terra line, they are stunning!

get the speedy pro meeonwatch. A more classic and iconic watch you will not find. Some of the new broad arrows are very nice as well.

To each his own of course.

I agree with your comments about he DeVille. I think they are great looking. However, for right now my DateJust does the trick for that.

That makes sense! In that case it has to be the speedy! And for me it would be the classic looking one, just like the original!

I second Chris's choice as the Seamaster Aqua Terra is a good choice as it is Elegant and Sporty. Go with it an you won't be disappointed!

I own a Speedmaster Pro. Great watch! I love waking in the morning and having to wind it. Keeps me in touch with it. I love the Seamaster also, but I bought a Submariner ND instead. So, for me, it's the Speedy Pro during the week and the Sub ND on the weekends. I am as happy as could be.

Like everyone says, "Purchase the one that speaks to you." You'll know which one is the right choice. Good luck.

Why not go with the Seamaster GMT model? It's avaialble with a white or a black dial and looks absolutely superb.

It's minus that Helium crown at 10 o'clock, but yet waterproof down to 300 m. It has a superb ETA modified movement with the practical GMT second timezone feature.

The black and white dials both look terrific. Your call.

Good luck - JJ
