Does anyone know the typical discount on jeager lecoultre? Starting to get the itch, might be my next purchase.

I got very very lucky with my memovox from my AD and got just under 35% off RRP. This was in Australia and the price I was given was cheaper than anywhere else I priced it internationally - by a long way

While I have nothing to offer in terms of a discount, I do enjoy my Reverso Grande GMT. Have not seen any discounts first-hand on any brand, including Rolex.

Buy preowned or with a very big discount. Resale is not great.

Just picked this one up pre-loved recently. Quite a bit cheaper (like 1/10th of the price) as compared to the Patek 5170.

Now is a great time to buy from European ADs if you're in the US. With the strong USD, VAT refund and even a modest discount, you should be able to get a JLC for at least 30% off the retail price. I just recently pulled the trigger for this very reason.

Sorry for the off topic question ... does anybody know typical price of JLC's alligator strap? Also is there any way to get casa fagliano straps? JLC won't sell them separately as they come with special edition watches,

Thank you! Please let me know when you hear something. I tried on the strap with the RG Reverso tribute, and it was so comfortable - way better than the JLC one that came with my SS 1931 Tribute, IMHO.

This discussion is very timely. I just purchased a Reverso 1931 Tribute in stainless and also wanted a smooth brown leather strap to dress it down. I contacted Casa Fagliano and they put me on the waiting list for one of their straps - delivery around May-June. They are also not cheap, costing about what a JLC crocodile strap would run - at least the price the dealer quoted me to buy a smaller black croc strap versus just swapping it with the one that came on the watch.

I am just not sure which color is closest to the one on the 2012 US limited edition Tribute watch because I have read you can not purchase the exact color as the LE version. I think that it is the light brown cordovan because the brown cordovan looks like it has too much red in it. Does anybody else have an opinion?

Did you just email them using the address on their contact page?

Would you mind telling me how much it cost? I want the black one; material is so soft and comfortable.

$500 plus shipping. I just joined this forum. I hope I didn't just do something that will get me banned.

I just went to the Casa Fagliano website, selected ENGlish at the bottom, clicked on the "CONTACT", filled out the info, and entered my message. I received an email response back in a couple of days from German Fagliano quoting the price and asking if I wanted them to write my name on the waiting list. I sent an email response in the affirmative, but never received a confirmation.

I just went to the Casa Fagliano website, clicked the ENG(lish) at the bottom of the page, selected "CONTACT", filled out the info and entered my question. I received an email response about 2 days later from German(?) Fagliano with the price and asking me if I wanted to be added to their waiting list. I responded in the affirmative, but never received a confirmation.

Apologies to the OP for the sidetrack.

JLC discount

I just ordered the Reverso calendar. The U.S. list is US$13,100 and Canadian list is Can$13,300; seems like a 25% difference considering the exchange rate. If calculated in Canadian $ I was given a 15% discount but if calculated in US $ I received a 35% discount given the exchange rate these days.
Did I get a good deal?

To continue the sidetrack, I received a response from Fagliano this morning and I am on the waiting list, Brown (#4, I think) is the closest to LE color, and they make a smaller size, which is good for me. Still May or June, however.

Yep, afraid so. You are going to have to pay for the handmade craftsmanship and very limited supply (kind of like high-end luxury watches?), but if you fall irrationally for the look of a strap, especially how it harmonizes with the watch, there is no substitute in my mind. And you can rationalize it by amortizing it over the life of the watch. However, as I mentioned before it is actually slightly less than what I was quoted for a new JLC croc strap by the dealer, but for that one you are probably paying for the "JL" on the buckle, too.
