Speedmaster Co-Axial Broad Arrow 1957
I was offered a LNIB Broad Arrow. It looks stunning but wanna do some homework before I take the plunge ... is there any problem with the movement? Is the movement an in-house owned by Omega? Looking for a daily watch at the same time want something special. Any input on this watch greatly appreciated and sorry for the noob question ... new to Omega.

The Broad Arrow is a helluva watch!!! It is powered by Omega's exclusive cal. 3313, their Co-Axial chronograph movement loosely based on the FP 1185 (or 1285 as others have said). It is a very fine movement, it features a column wheel for the coordination of the chronograph function and the finish is wonderful. When you check it out again, just make sure you're getting a fairly recent serial#! The 3301/3303 & 3313 have had a few problems in the past, but they are all sorted out now. Google something like "Omega 3303 problems" to find out for yourself... Any serial# starting from 79xxxxxx should get you a safe purchase (that is, a 3313B with all improvements incorporated)! But do not let that take away this watch from you...!! The Broad Arrow is really a wonderful watch, a great mixture of the classic Moonwatch Speedy with modern elements... A PO would be slightly better suited as a daily beater I think, but like I wrote above (and I'm sure others will agree), the Broad Arrow is a great watch!!! Check out a few more details over at Omega's website here: ==> Broad Arrow Hope this helps a bit... B/R
