Oh, and some facts we got this weekend:

-Wynn is opening in BOSTON! A Rolex boutique there is possible

-Air King is NOT discontinued; only the dial (will no longer have the Air King legend); the watch still in production

-YG 40mm YMI discontinued

-Only watch that has not received a full upgrade (clasp, bracelet, etc) is 2T-YMI

-Cellini is a HOT selling product

-Hublot is strong in Latin America; and they owe the success of the line to a failed venture with Ferrari many years ago

-TRFers know how to eat and drink!!!!!!!

Is there an honorific that can be awarded to Gerardo for all his efforts?
I ask the Moderators if he can be classified as a " TRF Master"" ?
We use this phrasing in Medical Societies to recognize those members whose efforts/ achievements are outstanding.

Any thoughts?
Best TRF thread ever, IMHO.

My personal report: no wins and no new watch. Lots of fun, drinks, food, watch-trying and cigars!

I WON!! No new watch. The guys also weren't going to stop me from an AP purchase that I had to pull myself away from. The group was certainly enabling at that moment.

Next GTG, I may just have to pull the trigger!

Where did you find an AP at? Last time I was there someone said they were only at City Center. I was at the Palazo at the time. Would have been nice to see one in person.

...that is why you need to come to the GTG

All kidding aside, there is one AD in the Palazzo, carries Tudor, Breitling and AP (pics are on this thread)

It really was a blast! The reason something like this worked was because we were all like minded people with a passion for watches! Gerardo was the perfect person taking charge and leading the way. Not one of us knew one another and we still got along and enjoyed the entire trip.

This community of watch enthusiasts on TRF are very special. We all come from different parts of the world and have one common interest, if not more!!

I vote for another GTG veery soon. Anyone else in?

I think we should. Happy Socks were sold by the nice lady in the mall at the Palazzo, but there are many alternatives including places like the normally staid Brooks Brothers.

Well since I had my own visit with Gerardo last week, I had to peek my head in to see how the Las Vegas GTG went down. I just read/viewed all 468 posts, and WOW, I wish I could have been there. What an outstanding collection of watches, food, wine/liquor, tobacco, SOCKS! and TRF members. I hope to be able to get in on the next one!
