Sub Date vs. DJ "heft"
Been wearing a Sub Date daily since 2008. Purchased today (and waiting for shipment from Watch Chest) a K series Datejust.
In going back and forth, when trying on DJ's during the shopping phase, the "weight/heft" difference between them is obvious. What I'm wondering from daily DJ wearers is whether they find the DJ to be a light feeling heft in general or is that just my perception of how "light" it feels compared to wearing my Sub daily? |

Useless input: I can only give the opposite comparison: Have had a TT datejust since 2006; just got the new Sub Date C and it's heavier.

Have both. My DJ has Jubliee band. Sub feels much more substantial on the wrist. I like the extra weight- I know its there.

I suppose it is what you become accustomed to. Since buying my first Rolex (a DJ SS/WG), my other watches feel very insubstantial. In fact I hardly ever wear them now.

Thanks for the replies!
This is my sense, while it seemed to me the DJ feels light in comparison to the substantial heft of the Sub it is not a "light" watch in an "apples to apples" comparison to a similar style watch. Guess I've also gotten used to that heavier feeling having the Sub on everyday so when I started trying on DJ's the contrast was even more marked, thanks!

DJs wear super light. Very comfortable. Subs are a bit heavier but still comfortable. Heavy, at least to me is not comfortable. All in all, get quality and don't worry about the weight.
