Sea-Dweller 4000 on thin wrist

I was wondering if anyone could give me feedback on the SD4K worn on thin wrists. My wrist is just a tad under 6.5". While I'm not concerned about the case diameter, what I wonder about is if the extra weight, combined with the increased height of the case, will cause it to flop around too much. Unfortunately, I have no real way of testing this out until I actually buy one and it gets sized for me.
I actually was originally eyeing the SubC, but for a few minor reasons, I have become interested in the SD4K more. To be honest, I almost have the same concern with the SubC somewhat.

Thanks in advance!

Not sd4k, but SD on my 6" wrist

And here is both SD and DS on my wrist

so I don't think you will have any problems with 6.5" wrist, go for it!

Not bad at all. Do either feel too top heavy for you, and does it flop around too much? No need to remove any permanent links when the bracelet was sized?

No, SD is extremely comfortable. You just have to get bracelet sized correctly and it's very comfortable. The DS is a little top heavy when typing all day, but it doesn't bother me.

No permanent links removed for me when sized. DS with glidelock is so useful

Here is another pic, my son wearing my SD, I think this shows that SD looks good on thin wrist, lol

The only way to really know is to try one on for a bit; I had my 114060 for about a year prior to deciding it felt awkward on my wrist and chose to trade it for a watch I find considerably more comfortable (116300 DJII). I have a 14060 which feels just fine and I'm happy to have kept it. So you can get a lot of inputs and even feel good about the watch initially but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will stick. Good luck with the SD. I'd love to get an older model myself.

My wrist is about 6.5 inches and the SDc fits fine. FYI my wrist is more flat rather than round. Doesn't flop at all. Glidelock allows a perfect fit and weight (177g sized for me) is not a issue. Like others, I've removed the diver's extension and that helps with comfort too. You can definitely buy a much lighter watch, but I'd not call the SDc heavy (and in the past I've been happy to wear a considerably bigger and heavier watch).

Have them remove the diver's extension and with the glidelock you should get a perfect fit.

Well put, agree with this. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and one of the reasons I got the SD4K is I wanted something with a heftier look than my vintage pieces. You will be fine man! Here is a wrist shot of mine:

You should be fine, with the SD or Sub.

Thanks all for the replies and photos! I went to my nearest AD today and tried on a SD4K, along with the SubC. I like the overall look and feel of the SD4K better. I tried to pinch the bracelet on the bottom to simulate what it may feel like after it's sized. It definitely has some heft to it, but in a good way. I too have a flatter top of the wrist, so it sits nicely there.
Thanks again all! Hopefully I'll be picking one up in 2 months.

My wrists are barely 6.5" and I've enjoyed the look of classic SD 16600 as pictured here:

and also my current watch for the past three years, the 114060, which is a bit beefier than the 16600 in terms of watch head, but not as thick as the 16600 or the 116600:

I'm still thinking about getting myself a 116600, but I've been very faithful to my 114060 and currently don't have room for both.
