15202 as a daily?
Gentlemen
I have a 15400 blue dial which I am now seriously thinking of selling and then upgrading to a 15202. The reason being that the 15400 is simply not my daily go-to watch as I had hoped. It's slightly big and uncomfortable. I work in the office and wear a suit on my days and am looking for a timepiece that can wear on a daily basis. The choices are: 1. Sell the 15400 and Upgrade to a 15202; or 2. Keep 15400 and buy a Ingenieur automatic blue laureus. Some pics of my collection attached. I also include a photo of the iwc laureus. Does anyone use the 15202 as a daily office wear? Which of the two options would you go for? Any other recommendations? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Tricky
I have a 15300 blue dial, and much as I like the idea of the 15202 I don't think it's worth the trade. I looked at both side by side and just preferred the 15300. It fits easily under cuffs and I wear it with jeans to suits. Not sure if it's the difference between 39mm and 41mm for you, but I tried a 15400 side by side with my 15300 and preferred the 15300. My wrist size is 7.9" or 20cm btw.

I've been wearing my 15202 almost daily to the office since acquiring it a few months ago. I like wearing it with long sleeve shirts. Having said that, the 15202 is a keeper in my collection (and there are few which I have decided I won't flip! rolf).... I don't care for that IWC to be honest.

I don't see why you couldn't wear it daily, unless you want/need the seconds hand. I wore a blue 25820 almost daily w no issues, except I did miss the seconds hand.

Id try a 15300 first them 15202. Many say the 202 is worth the price difference and it may be but I prefer the thickness and second hand of the 15300. Good luck!!!

sure why niit, I wore 24/7 a Patek 5712, which is the same type as 15202, thin, so I think you can, it's fine as a daily, really

The jumbo is a very comfortable watch to wear as a daily watch. It's ultra thin design and light weight makes it an easy choice for daily wear. And at 39 mm it's fits comfortably on all wrist sizes.

I wear a 15300 a daily watch the past 2-3 years I really don't care at all about scratches, if you want to use a 15202 as a daily driver I don't see why you shouldn't. It's super comfortable, slim and attractive; I don't care too much for IWC but you get my vote for flipping the 15400 for a 202 .

For those of you that own or have owned both the AP 15202 and the PP 5711, could you tell me if the AP wears larger than the 5711?

15202 is the way to go! 15400 doesn't sing to me either. I feel like I'd be in the same position as you if I got one. Enjoy!

15202 is a great daily wearer I'd imagine. I have a 15300 and wouldn't mind wearing it daily. I also had a 15400, wore to big for my taste.

I've been wearing my 15202 about three days a week to the office. Holding up well and I love checking it out throughout the day.

I have a ROC and it wears a little big on my 7 wrists, so without the subdials I think even more so, so the 202 sounds ideal for you.

I have been wearing a RO 14790ST for 11 years as a daily watch now (with interruptions of one to two weaks per months of wearing other watches). I also have a 15202, which I wear in the time between - also as a daily watch.
There is no doubt that both watches are good to wear every day. I wouldn't wear them for swimming or in the sauna. Regarding scratches: The scratches of Abdullasaif's watch are unusual (in my opinion) and I've never seen such a scratched RO before. If you provide a minimum of wrist awareness you won't have a tenth of Abduallsaif's scratches (my experience after 11 years of wearing my RO). Best, Heiko |

15202 is my daily watch during the week (office, suit). Not a problem.
I would definitely recommend it. It is worth the upgrade in my opinion. |

I don't wear mine as a daily but if I did, I think it would work out fine.

I love the 15202 and in its own right it would be a fine every day watch but at about double the price (in terms of what you can pick up a nice 15300 for) its a lot of extra money unless you've got the rest of your collection absolutely nailed and the upgrade is just the icing on the cake. For me, I'm sticking with the 15300 and putting the difference towards a Nautilus.

Adding some pictures. I think the jumbo might be my favorite watch in my current line up!
