Please show me your Calatrava 5107 or 5127
I would like to add, at some stage one of the above Calatrava's.
I have always admired these two Patek Philippe's, but for one reason or another, have always ended up getting another Patek. Now, I am on the hunt to get either one. So, my question is, which one have you got and why? Please also accompany your thoughts with any photos that you may have Thank you Regards Tony

I bought a 5127 because it was new and available. Honestly I rarely wear it because I don't dress up very often. Even with suit, I find myself reaching for sportier watches like rolexes.

I'm gonna cry! WHAT?!?! I guess I'm still in the honeymoon stage with my Calatrava (5296). That, and I haven't yet added my "daily" Rolex sport watch to the stable yet (my 40th birthday Cartier Roadster fills in for now). I have few opportunities to wear a suit. I've been wearing my Calatrava with everything from business casual slacks to jeans (and polo/golf shirts). When the 5127 first hit the scene, I hadn't collected enough watch money for it. But that "protected crown" really checked my boxes. It was the first time I realized a Calatrava wasn't just for suits. It still rates high on my "love it" list. That's why I want to cry when I read you don't wear it much. I might even try a 5127 with shirts and a t-shirt if I had a white gold one! |

I am still in love with mine after 2 years….
This one has 324 movement with the silicon spring, that was the latest upgrade before they stopped making them. In fact Topcat convinced me to get it! Thanks topcat! I have the Patek PC on my radar, you have yours 3940R already and I really like it. The other option for me is the world time.
Cheers |

I very much like the R/G 5227.
But there is something about the shoulders around the crown, that does it for me :-)

I am surprised that there have not been more posts.
Perhaps the 5107 & 5127 are hiding! LOL

To me the 5107 is the most beautiful watch in the world, of ALL time, the 5107 makes me weep, id love one. I can't get my head around the 5127 yet because I love the 5107 so much I can't envisage anything bettering it. I need to experience it in the flesh, but no doubt it is an absolute stunner one way or the other.

Forgive me for resurrecting my old post
However, after years of promising myself, I have finally fulfilled one of my watch ambitions
How it arrived And fitted on it's new strap

Guess I can't play "Old Thread" police when you revive your own thread with one of the greatest Calatravas of all-time! Congratulations, it's a beauty. Nice to see the dream materialize!
