861 or 1861 in my 3570 ?
I bought my 3570.50 brand new in 1998 and the serial number 4835xxxxx confirms this. It's not clear to me from the otherwise excellent web sites out there though if my watch has the gold plated 861 movement, or the later rhodium plated 1861 movement.
Does anyone here know ?

Omega made the switchover to both Rhodium plating and the c. 1861 in 1996.
Chances are, unless you have one that was sitting around for a while, you have both.

Thanks Larry. According to the serial number my watch was a 1998 build, so 1861 it is.
