Cheers to all the responses.
After having carefully thought the case through, i've decided to stay put.
The 5711 is a tad too precious, not to mention hard to come by, for me to let go off.
Especially whilst I still very much enjoy wearing mine.

Thanks to all.

I would do it. Then get the 5711 back at some point:)

I wouldn't do it but only you can make the choice. I would try to keep the 5711.

15202 is the hooker of watches it grabs you everytime you looking on it ,
I m happy you ve resist the temptation.

Tough one, I have thought about that, having the 5167 and looking for a 15202 to replace a 15400 and base luminor.

I also shoot for a 4 watch collection so I am thinking that this setup covers all the bases on my budget:

Beater - 214270
Bracelet - 15202
Rubber - 5167
Dress - JLC MUT Moon

Having the 5711 and 15202 on that collection would make no sense as like you said, they cover the same purpose.

And having only the 5711 would not leave me with a rubber option which I value for sporty occasions or the beach, the 5711 and 5167 would be nice of course, but the look is very similar and the movement the same.

So..do it!

Not sure what the other watches in your collection of 4 are though

Agree with this.

Also agree the 5711 and the AP can coexist. I believe you either love the Aquanaut or you don't and that it shouldn't be bought to fill a gap.
I would keep the 5711, since you like it, and add the AP in a different dial color, or add the AP and trade the 5711 and some cash for a 5712.
