Before Rolex, Citizen Seiko Collection

Many of you have asked to see what watches I had before my Rolex. These were all watches that my wife made me a deal with: For our 3 Year Anniversary and 1 year Anniversary where I thankfully survived an incident at work, she would get me a Rolex with the difference that these watches didn't bring in. It is kind of cool to see where Citizen and Seiko got some of their ideas. They were all VERY good watches, but I just wanted the craftsmanship.

Still missing a few that I didn't have in the watch box that I ended up giving away etc. Believe there were 2 or 3 more Seikos.

The last 2 watches I don't know anything about as they were in my uncles room after he passed. I do know the Omega is an automatic, but that is it. I need to find a place that would buy it.

Anyway, here you go:

Do you still have there Tye?

Omega needs stabilization on the dial but it's a vintage that might be worth a few hundred? Hamilton looks good and has some patina, also could be worth a few dollars to a vintage seeker.

The only ones I still have are the omega and Hamilton... Also have a seiko not shown and the titanium seiko (top left). I'll never wear any of them again. Not sure where to begin to sell them, as in the omega and Hamilton. I need to put leather straps on them first. Both staid were just completely broke down. My uncle (even with his Rolex) switched them out to stretch band straps lol.

If I can get rid of them I will for sure out the money toward another Rolex. As of TODAY I am leaning toward a YachtMaster White Face SS/ Platinum. Seems "inexpensive" as in the Explorer ii price range.

I'll have to take a picture of that watch box now, my wife's Michael Kors, Fossil and other watches have taken over. Lol. Couldn't convince her on any Rolex..... So I guess I can't complain if I only have to spend 3-500$ on her watches ha ha.

What does dial stabilization mean? Nice got it winding in my watch winder now and it seems to be keeping time.

So the flaking you see where the coating on the dial is separating from the dial, that has to be addressed because the particles will eventually work into the movement and cause issues. The dial can be replaced also but i would see about having a watchmaker removing all the loose pieces and coating it with a sealer. Maybe ask Rik Dietel www.timcareinc.com if he can do it and what he'd charge or see if he knows someone if it's not something he wants to take on.

Citizen and Seiko both have their place in a watch collection and it seems like you enjoyed them quite a bit, before you got bit by the Rolex bug!
