Romain Jerome???

Hi guys

Just been to my local dealer and they have tempted me with this tasty little number!!!!

http://www.romainjerome.com/en/colle...x?idc=2&idp=25

Normally I am a Rolex man but this has made me wander slightly which does not happen very often!!

Very different and very exclusive, 2012 only being made worldwide and they are made from genuine metals from the Titanic, your feedback would be appreciated as I am seriously tempted!!!

Had a post on this back in December. Got to talk with and meet the Designer at the unveiling of it in KL, Malaysia last December. Very nice man and down to earth and easy to talk with. Actually a pretty well constructed watch and a good design. Opinion seems to be divided though on using metal from the Titantic for the watch, as some feel it is disrespectful to those that perished. But, from the designers point of veiw it was more out of tribute and respect. I can tell you all the models they had for sale in KL where sold out within 24 hours of the unvieling. Was very popular there. Not for me though, as for the price many other watches I would prefer to purchase.

The least expensive ones were going for around $8500 US when in KL in December. The more rusted looking, the more expensive. Also they had several that had Tourbillions installed that were very pricey.

Would never wear that watch but would not mind having it as a safe queen as the history behind it can make it a HUGE hit with future collectors.

Just make sure your safe is hermetically sealed as the watch may just turn to powder

Just really different in my opinion, I can understand the respect side of things, but also the memory is kept alive by such unique and special tributes that will be truly treasured. IMO a very fitting and respectful tribute. They range from £6000 approx to £150,000 for the Tourbillion!!! Ouch by nevertheless don't think you will see many in the wild and a great talking point!!

Yeah I agree with you, most will not wear them I do not think and even so very few will own them due to the limited production.
