The Damasko DA37 Intrigues Me

Lately I've been looking for a white dialed watch to complement my Explorer 214270 that also doesn't break the bank. That led me to look at Sinn and Damasko as possibilities.
The two possibilities for Sinn were the 556i and the 856 Tegimented but neither has a white dial except for the Sinn limited edition model (only 150 made) and good luck finding that one.
The Damasko, on the other hand, has several intriguing possibilities which include the DA35, DA37, DA353, and the DA373. Of those the SA37 really stands out to me as a good looking affordable watch that is engineered extremely well although possibly prone to magnetization.
I'd like to hear the thoughts of anyone who owns a Sinn or Damasko and your reasons for choosing either one.

Damasko - cool watches, pretty indifferent after sales service. Definitely do some web searching for people's experiences, before buying.

I own a Sinn EZM1. I like it.

I forgot to mention that I'm also looking at some of the Stowa lineup but don't know how they compare, quality wise, to the Damasko.

I like Damasko a lot, I've had three of them.

I think their price is right, and in my experience at least, they are bullet proof. Well made, damn near impossible to scratch, ETA movement, and the right price.

I prefer them over Stowa. Sinn... I like a lot, but I think Damasko makes a stronger case, and I like that they make it in house.

I'd own another one in a heartbeat and I am actually thinking about adding one right now, a limited edition made only for the one AD in the US.

I own 2 Sinns, have had a Stowa and seen and played with a couple of Damasko's. Quality wise I would put the Sinn and Damasko's on par with each other. The Stowa Airman I had was a beauty and you won't go far wrong with one.

Why did I pick Sinn over Damasko? No other reason than because there is a Sinn dealer close by and I could walk away with the watch, rather than order from the internet.

I use my Sinn's for when I am at work, the tegemented cases are unmarked, they have taken a beating from being banged and scraped against metal trollies. I wouldn't use my Sub for such heavy work, it would be so scratched within no time at all. (So would the Stowa by the way) They also fly under the radar, my work colleagues do not know I am wearing a watch that costs in excess of a thousand pounds.

Thanks Chip and Dave for your comments on these brands. I'm probably leaning towards the Damasko right now but haven't decided yet.
I did also look at the Stowa, in particular, the Marine Classic.

http://www.stowa.de/lshop,showdetail...b--marine,.htm

Although the photo shows what they call a sterling silver dial color it can also be made with a white dial in the brushed case.
I find it interesting that with Sinn and Damasko there's a lot of info about the engineering and technology of their watches but not very much about the Stowa even though they've been in business for over 80 years.

Page & Cooper do good video reviews, for both Damasko and Sinn, they are well worth watching and easy to find on YouTube.

Just to show the white dial.

I have an 856 and find it superb.Another P&C review.

Stowa review (Not P&C)

Thanks for the videos Dave.
I'm still leaning heavily towards the Damasko. Either the DA37 or DA47.

I haven't heard that phrase in quite awhile Clark.
As far as the watch goes, I'm really looking for a white dial.

I don't think you will go wrong with a Damasko Angelo, the ones I have seen were all beautifully made and I would have been proud to own any of them.
